Title IX

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 states: “No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.”

Tri-C does not discriminate on the basis of sex, a requirement of Title IX, in any of its educational programs or activities, including admission and employment. Inquiries about the application of Title IX may be referred to the College’s Title IX coordinator, who also serves as director of Institutional Equity.

Any person may report sex discrimination, including sexual harassment (whether or not the person reporting is the person alleged to be the victim of conduct that could constitute sex discrimination or sexual harassment), in person, by mail, by phone or by email to the Office of Institutional Equity (see contact information below) or online at tri-c.edu/concerns. The College will promptly and equitably resolve allegations prohibited by Title IX.

The full Discrimination, Harassment, Sexual Misconduct and Retaliation policy and procedure is available at tri-c.edu/policies-and-procedures. A physical copy can be  obtained by contacting the College’s Office of Institutional Equity:
